What is Idle Game Tools?

Idle Game Tools is a small collection of open-source, community-developed utilities for selected idle and casual games.

The first of these tools, the Mission Tracker for the Hyper Hippo idle/incremental game AdVenture Communist, was created in June 2019 by Zephyron with assistance from the game community and initially hosted on GitHub Pages. Several other sites for AdVenture Communist, its spinoff AdVenture Ages, and non-Hyper Hippo games were created by other developers over the coming years, hosted in various locations.

Idle Game Tools became its own site on November 17, 2025, allowing all these tools to be hosted in one common destination. The Idle Game Tools home page and all linked tools are currently hosted on a single DigitalOcean VPS. Idle Game Tools is hosted by Darren R. Skidmore (Enigma).
